You have the opportunity to join a new dynamic team with a high impact on creating and bridging the gap between business, data science, and IT. Firstly, you will shape the data engineering competence of the team. Secondly, you will provide a crucial part in advanced analytics applications on modern data science platforms far beyond simple financial reports.

Within a collaborative team, you have the mandate of designing, creating, maintaining, and scaling data pipelines to enable data scientists to use new datasets for an exceptionally diverse and innovative set of global applications in marketing, sales, operations, finance, and human resources. You will work with structured and unstructured data coming from the central business intelligence system or from external sources.

Job Description

PROJECT EXECUTION

Discuss and understand business requirements and use cases

Work with data scientists and business analysts in refining their data requirements

Translate the data requirements into an ETL design

Implement or supervise the implementation of data pipelines

Support and enable data scientists to integrate and consume the data they need for their own use cases

Work in a team, both with technical and non-technical colleagues

SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE

Consult with the solution architects to design or improve new solutions

Propose appropriate data ingestion, preparation, integration, and operationalization techniques in optimally addressing requirements

Participate in ensuring compliance and governance during data use

Establish or improve and implement governance and processes together with our business HQ for proper usage of the tools under her/his responsibility

Qualifications

Highly preferred but not mandatory experience of at least 2 years with analytics and ETL tools such as Alteryx, Qlik or Trifacta
Knowledge of at least one common relational database such as SQL Server, HANA
Understanding of an enterprise architecture beneficial or data science platforms
Experience in languages such as R, Python, as well as SQL, PL/SQL. Basic software engineering skills beneficial
Beneficial experience or knowledge on state of the art DB technologies and nonrelational databases (NoSQL DBs as MongoDB, Cassandra etc.)
High affinity to engineering tasks as well as to address and understanding business needs
Analytical and conceptual mindset
Technical skills highly beneficial
Communication skills, team player, service-oriented and mentoring skills
High degree of independence and reliability

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2,041 (full-time basis) gross per month.
